2011 BMW 6-Series Convertible !

Here comes the 2011 BMW 6-Series convertible, unveiled in the 2010 Los Angeles motor show. Redesigned and left the Bangle era to look more like its current sibling such as the 5-Series and 7-Series. But there's a downside of it...

The 7-Series inspired headlight doesn't work well on a sports car for me. Will appreciate it if the headlight is slimmer and longer to give the car a wider and stable stance. Otherwise, it will look amazingly sporty with a little touch of elegance with all the smooth lines around. The side profile with BMW signature long wheelbase looks fine while the rear, inspired by BMW X1, is a big improvement over its predecessor (which has a 'Bangle's Butt' design).

Its 4.4-liter V-8 engine produces 400bhp. This unique "reverse-flow" engine, whose turbochargers are positioned in the V-area between the cylinder banks, produces an instantaneous and sustained wave of power, making it an energetic delight for the enthusiast driver. This enables the BMW 6-Series convertible sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and with a top speed, which is electronically limited, of 155 mph. This engine also boasts extraordinary fuel efficiency from its lightweight body and 8-speed transmission!

State-of-the-art chassis technology gives this 6-Series the ability to provide both sporty handling and comfort at the same time. There is an optional of Active Roll Stabilization combines with the standard Dynamic Damper Control to offer the driver a more precise responses and perfectly flat cornering ability.

The BMW 6-Series convertible is also the first car in its class that can be equipped with Integral Active Steering. Precisely harmonized steering angle movements at both front and rear axles create a virtual lengthening or shortening of the vehicle's wheelbase, which promotes high-speed stability and enhances maneuverability for parking and city use of the car.

The new BMW 6-Series convertible is designed to be a 2+2-seater. High-quality materials and carefully coordinated colours produce a luxurious interior. A hallmark BMW element of the interior design is the driver-oriented cockpit layout with the central section of the instrument panel containing the iDrive system.

No doubt it will be on our shore somewhere around next year. When the 6-Series convertible is on our road, it will be another 'eye-catching' object on the road like other BMWs!
