Public can now let out a sigh of relieve after Honda announced that it is going to scrap the Honda cars claimed by Thai flooding! Honda, along with some other manufacturers' plants in Thailand has suffered great losses in terms of cars. Thailand's worst flood in 50 years has claimed 1055 Honda cars, including a Freed MPV, 30 CR-V SUVs, 91 Accord sedans, 150 Civic sedans, 213 Jazz hatchbacks, 217 Biro hatchbacks and 353 City sedans.
Honda Thailand invited media to witness the scrapping of the flood damaged vehicles. No cars or parts from the flood damaged cars will be sold. So, the unfortunate 1055 cars will have to experience the end of their 'lives'.
As a guarantee to the buyers, Honda Thailand also will post the chassis and engine number of the destroyed cars in their website. Hopefully Honda Thailand will be able to resume their production as soon as possible because many in the ASEAN countries are waiting for their new Honda cars!
