First Launch in 2011 - Peugeot 308CC !

This year the automotive sector had a great start with the launch of Peugeot 308CC. The 308 CC has retractable roof, thus, two bodystyles – an open hard top and a closed one, which is why it's called 'coupe-cabriolet' (stands for CC too).

The front end came from its hatchback sibling, the 308, but the windscreen angle is sharper and other parts are totally new (except for the dashboard). The side profile actually looks amazing and well-proportioned, unlike some cabriolets in the market which has awkward design.

The 308 CC is available only with one engine choice, which is the 1.6cc direct-injection 4-cylinder petrol engine, where you can also find in the 308 Turbo. Fitted with a twin-scroll turbocharger, this engine produces 156 bhp, enough to satisfy power junkie!

The 308CC’s roof folds into the boot within 20 seconds with speed of up to 12 km/h. Significant reinforcements have been done for the A-pillars just in case a rollover is inevitable. Extendable aluminium roll-over protection bars will also extend upwards from behind the rear head restraints within 20 milliseconds if its sensor detects a rollover. Not enough? There are 6 airbags in the cabin too!

Dual zone air-conditioning, electric front seats with memory functionality for the driver’s seat and a retractable 7-inch LCD screen and the list goes on for the equipment part. The seats even have Peugeot’s ‘Airwave’ system which blows air against the backs of the occupants’ necks from vents in the upper part of the seats. Kind of like Mercedes' 'Air-scarf', but both system are unnecessary in Malaysia's hot climate.

Get one of this at RM186,888!

One Step Closer to the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race

*Update: We are chosen to participate in Om Nom Nom! (hyperventilating!)

Have you ever heard of a Chinese phrase 'climb up mountain of knife and go down a wok of hot oil'? That is what I will do for food!

I will climb up the knife mountain...
... if a sumptuous buffet is there, like this in Genting!

I will go down a wok of hot oil...
... down to Melaka for a bowl of cold Cendol!

or even kayak across the South China Sea...
... for a rojak in Sarawak! (ok, the kayak part is joking XD)

I would love to be a part of the Maxis Om Nom Nom Race created by Nuffnang and Maxis! Like I've mentioned, I love food (and so are my teammates, if we are chosen *wink* ). Who are 'we'? They will be no other than me, Tikkoss, Xing90 and Vince92! The Team Random!

MUNCH!

and even DRINK!

Nissan Fuga - Proton Perdana replacement !

The truth has been unveiled! According to Berita Harian Online's report, Nissan Fuga will be our Proton Perdana replacement model in March or April! After the talks with Volkswagen, some concluded that Passat will be used as Perdana replacement model. However, things are different now. The Nissan Fuga is the chosen one and the next Perdana will be top-level government use only.

One thing pops out my mind: why Nissan? As far as I remember both manufacturers never joint venture in any product or shared any technology like Proton and Lotus. But I didn't mean that Nissan is bad! It's actually exciting to see how the Fuga will turn out to be our next Perdana.

Imagine me with a Proton steering...

Nissan Fuga is powered by a 2.5cc V6 VQ HR series engine which produce 225bhp. We can expect the all-new Perdana will get the same engine. First shipment of 150 units of the Fuga will be brought in as official cars for top ranking government officials. Or maybe the government is getting the hybrid version of Fuga? Who knows?

Finally the aging stretched Perdana(s) used by goverment officials are being replaced by something modern. Unfortunately, public won't be able to get a feel of how the car drives. However, if Proton gets encouraging market feedback, it will consider sales to the public. Fingers crossed!

It's a New Decade @ Genting !

The year 2010 was not a great year for me. It was like a emotional (but there were some happy moments too, of course) rollercoaster. Even my last day in 2010 was not that great either...

Around afternoon, 4 friends of mine and I went to Ulu Yam to eat its infamous 'Loh Mee'. Check out its humongous portion! Total was RM35, quite reasonably priced i think.

Of course after 'Loh Mee' in Ulu Yam, we went up to Genting using the trunk road!

Since some of us reluctant to go for outdoor theme park, eventually we decided to go Snow World! It was fun to play snow/artificial snow/whatever with a bunch of friends!

After spending most of our energy playing... whatever, it was time to replenish it! Coffee Terrace was our choice of buffet restaurant!

Sorry for the blur pictures ya... I'm so gonna change my handphone soon!

Yummy desserts!

OMG OMG!!!

My heaven... but sinful!

Total damage of dinner was RM2775 RM460! RM92 per pax including tax XD

I was having fever while I was half way eating my meal... Spoilt everything :( Bad luck started since that...

Since the firework celebration will be held outdoor, we headed to the outdoor theme park where the weather was freezing cold! Making the already sick me sicker :(

Have to wait until 12am for firework somemore... with all the crowds

The worst was... the was no firework at midnight due to heavy fog! NO FIREWORK! I waited for so long in a sick condition but in the end, this was what I got :( Damn disappointed man!!!

Hope this year, 2011, will be a better year! Cheers!

When Alphard is Not Big Enough...

The Park Avenue dealership in Manhattan has created this special edition ultra-luxurious Sprinter Grand Edition on its own and so far, has sold 4 units of it. The Sprinter Grand Edition is like a Maybach in MPV/van form and providing the amenities of a private jet!

The driver and front passenger seats offer heating and massage function. There are four leather captain's chairs in the cabin's rear which offer one of a kind comfort. Luxury amenities include a 32-inch LCD flat-screen, Wi-Fi high-speed internet, satellite radio and TV and a 30,000 B.T.U. climate-control system for the large rear passenger area.

Check out the picture below! Cool isn't it? Its cabin is definitely larger than Alphard! There are 4 rows in the cabin like Hyundai Starex too!

The van is powered by a 3.0cc V6 diesel which produce 188bhp and 440 Nm of torque. Price of the Sprinter Grand Edition is $189,850 with the base model Sprinter's price starts at $40,000. Too bad it won't be available in Malaysia...
