Apple's Latest Product - iPhone 4S !!!

Let's take a break from the automotive stuff and take a look on the newly launched iPhone 4S! However, many were disappointed when Apple announced that it was the iPhone 4S that is launching and not iPhone 5.

Under the similar iPhone 4 skin reveals different processor, which is a dual-core A5 chip which has two times more power and up to seven times faster graphics than iPhone 4. Camera also gets a huge improvement, now with 8 megapixels, a larger f/2.4 aperture and next-generation backside illumination sensor compared to iPhone 4. Video recording is in HD (1080p) up to 30 frames per second (fps). It's still no match to Nokia N8 in terms of capturing photo though.

iPhone 4S gets iOS 5 and iCloud to store photos, music and other documents. Battery is said to have longer talk time too. Then there's 'Siri', perhaps it's the most amazing feature found in the iPhone 4S! It's an intelligent 'assistant' where you can do things by just using voice. I hope people won't look at you strangely when you are giving command in the public!

By the way, RIP to Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple. He succumbed to pancreatic cancer after a day of the launch of iPhone 4S. We've lost a visionary man.....

Honda City SE - Limited to 500 Units !

While Thailand had just revealed the facelifted Honda City, Malaysia is getting a SE variant of City. There's a catch, City SE is only available for 500 units!



Modulo aero kit set is given to City SE which includes front under spoiler, trunk spoiler, rear under spoiler and side under spoiler. Something extra for the City SE owners, advanced nanotechnology solar control film on all windows. There's no changes under the skin though.



What's cool about this limited edition City SE is the numbering which is engraved on the door sill plate, and you can choose whatever number you like ranging from 001-500!!! This will hamper the hope of existing City owners from modifying their cars into SE!



As you can see for now (5/10/2011) all five hundreds numbers are still available in Honda's website! Grab one now as the SE variant is just about RM2500 more than the E-Grade City at RM92,890!

When You Thought You Couldn't Get More Airbags!

While Malaysia is making front airbags as compulsory for our national cars, automakers from other countries are researching on where you can add more airbags in the cabin! Like above, knee airbag has become a standard safety equipment in some cars to reduce the injury on the knee caused by a front-end impact. The cheapest car with knee airbag that you can get in Malaysia is the Mitsubishi ASX.



Next up is the rear airbag by Toyota, which they had installed in the Toyota iQ. It is designed to shield the rear occupants from debris or other hazardous materials in an event of rear crash.



Seatbelt airbag started by Ford on their models such as Explorer to reduce the load on chest when the seatbelt is limiting the movement of the occupant in accident. The placement of airbags are getting odder isn't it?



Something relatively new by General Motors - front center airbag! The airbag, which deploys from the right side of the driver seat (left driving position), is designed to keep the driver in place when driving solo in an event of a side impact. It is also to prevent both front occupants from hitting each other in side impact. Cool huh?

BMW - Joy Is Just Around The Corner!

According to BMW's advertisment in TheStar today (1/10/2011), joy is just around the corner when you have a BMW X3.



Take a closer look! Is BMW trying to imply that you will only find joy after the corner in a BMW X5? Well, X5 is indeed a better car than X3...... Hope BMW will be able to spot and amend this ad!
