2013 Nissan Teana - With Blind Spot Warning System !

Nissan Teana is updated for 2013! I wouldn't call it a facelift because it barely is. Exterior changes include smoked chromed front grille, standard all-round bodykit (which has different design than the old one) and rear lip spoiler. Unfortunately the uninspiring looking alloys are here to stay.

For 2013, Teana 2.5 V6 get Blind Spot Warning System (BSW) as standard - the first in its class. The driver will be warned with blinking LED located near the side mirrors and audible buzzer if there is an object appear in the blind spot when the driver wants to change lane (with the indicator on). Perhaps the introduction of BSW in the Teana is to make it more competitive with rising rivals, especially the upcoming Mazda 6 which will be launched in Malaysia soon.

Teana 2.5 V6 receives dark colour trim for its cabin, while the same beige colour trim is used for the 2.0 litre. In my opinion, darker cabin gives the impression of quality, lighter cabin provide the feeling of luxury, I'm fine with both. No changes for the powerplant though, where the same 2.5 litre V6 engine which produces 182 hp and 228Nm of torque is used.

With these updates come with higher price, where the Teana 2.5 litre V6 is priced at RM173,100 on the road with insurance, almost RM5k more expensive than before. The cheapest Teana (Comfort) is priced at RM141,815.30 OTR while the Teana (Luxury) is RM145,815.30 OTR.
